Great Britain were beaten 3-1 by Italy in Riga this lunchtime in a warm-up game ahead of the Women’s World Championship Division I Group B which gets under way this weekend.
GB’s goal was scored by Captain Jodie Alderson-Smith, assisted Katie Marsden and Laura Horwood, and Italy only made the game safe with a late empty-net goal.
Britain and Italy go head-to-head in the opening game of the World Championship on Sunday.
GB then face Poland (Monday 1st April), Slovakia (Wednesday 3rd April), Slovenia (Friday 5th April) and Latvia (Saturday 6th April).
