Great Britain beat Spain 3-2 to guarantee at least a bronze medal at the Under-18 World Championship Division II Group A in Serbia.

It was GB’s third victory in four matches after wins over Romania and Serbia earlier in the tournament.

Spain when ahead when Hugo Perez won the puck on the boards behind the net to set-up Dusan Cantabrana to beat Luca Tessadri with a nice move in the slot (11:09).

Last night’s hat-trick hero Finley Bradon fed Sebastian Mohr at the backdoor to tie the game (17:17) and Mohr then turned provider, linking up with Kyle Carruth down the right-hand side to create the chance for Owen Bruton to fire GB in the lead (25:59).

Arnau Aya’s neat one-timer drew Spain level (27:00), before Sam Lyne picked up Josh Shaw’s pass in the neutral zone and used his speed to cut inside and net what turned out to be the game-winner (34:47).

Tomorrow is a rest day in the tournament and GB play their final game on Saturday against Lithuania.
