Great Britain came from behind to beat Turkey 3-1 in their third game at the Under-18 Women’s World Championship Division II Group A at the Dumfries Ice Bowl.

GB now have four points from their three matches and sit fourth in the table.

Azra Senyuva put Turkey ahead in the first period (11:48) before Lilly Endicott set-up Ellin Rees to score GB’s equaliser inside Azra Sert’s near-post (23:26).

Vivian McGee went close on the doorstep before Katy Dadd fed Rees, who broke into the offensive zone and went five-hole for her second of the night (32:05).

Dadd was assessed a game penalty for an illegal hit and GB killed-off the five-minute penalty, with Abi McCourt going close short-handed.

Moments after Turkey’s powerplay came to an end, Ellie Patrick fired through traffic from the left circle for GB’s third (39:35).

In the third period, GB knocked on the door for a fourth goal but the closest they came was Jess Wooding’s shot wide while Tahlia Davidson-Wright saw her close-range shot saved.

There are no action tomorrow, but GB face Mexico on Thursday and Australia on Friday to complete the tournament.
