Great Britain beat Latvia 3-1 at the U18 Women’s World Championship Division II Group A in Heerenveen to move up to second place in the group.

Ellie Patrick won the face-off and slipped the puck back to Tahlia Davidson-Wright who scored a superb one-timer from the slot (9:50) to give GB a first-period lead.

GB went 2-0 ahead on the powerplay when Cassie McGregor’s shot was saved, but Lilly Endicott was on hand to bury the rebound on the doorstep (26:23).

Latvia closed the gap through Kjara Paula Zelubovska’s close-range finish (32:30), before Davidson-Wright and Ellie Shaw combined to set-up Jess Jones (35:37).
