U18 WOMEN’S FOUR NATIONS: GREAT BRITAIN 0-2 SPAIN

Great Britain were beaten 2-0 by Spain in their opening game at the Under-18 Women’s Four Nations in Poznan.

Noelia Munoz (39:28) and Ana Goni (46:23) scored Spain’s goals as they began the defence of their title with a victory.

GB netminder Evelyn Brown turned away 26 of the 28 shots she faced for an impressive save percentage of 92.3 per cent.

In the day’s other game, Poland skated to a 9-0 victory over Iceland.
