Ten Great Britain players will be play their final domestic ice hockey of the season this weekend as the Elite League season draws to a dramatic conclusion.
Following the four quarter-final ties last weekend, Belfast Giants, Cardiff Devils, Dundee Stars and Guildford Flames will compete in the Elite League playoff finals weekend at the National Ice Centre in Nottingham.
Scott Conway, Lewis Hook, Ben Lake and Jackson Whistle will be part of the Belfast roster – coached by GB assistant coach Adam Keefe – which faces Dundee Stars in the first semi-final at 3pm on Saturday afternoon.
This is followed by Cardiff Devils against Guildford Flames at 7pm. The Devils have GB players Josh Batch, Ben Davies, Sam Duggan, Mark Richardson and Josh Waller in the line-up, while Robert Lachowicz ices for Guildford.
The winners of the semi-finals will compete in the Premier Sports playoff final on Sunday (5pm).
GB then begin their pre-World Championship training camp in Coventry next Tuesday and will play four international matches before heading to Finland.
After playing Italy in Milton Keynes on Thursday 5th May, GB will face Denmark in Coventry on Saturday 7th May and also in Nottingham on Sunday 8th May.
The final UK international game takes place against Italy in Coventry on Tuesday 10th May – the day before GB depart for Finland.
