Sheffield Steelers have qualified for the Super Final of the Continental Cup after winning two of their three games in the semi-final round in Denmark this weekend.

A opening-day 7-1 thrashing by the formidable Belarusian side Yunost-Minsk was followed by a 5-4 penalty-shot victory over hosts Rungsted.

It set up a showdown with Kurbads Riga from Latvia and Steelers won 4-2 to finish second behind Minsk who won all three games.

Sheffield progress to the Super Final which takes place from 12th to 14th January 2018, with Steelers owner Tony Smith saying he is keen for the club to host the event.
