Great Britain Women were beaten 5-1 by Slovakia Women in the second of their two-game series this weekend.
The game was part of GB’s preparations for the upcoming Olympic pre-qualifiers in Kazakhstan in November.
Slovakia, who won the first meeting yesterday 3-1, took the lead at 3:47 through Miriam Mikeskova.
Radka Trebulova made it 2-0 at 7:43, before Michaela Hana Hajnikova grabbed Slovakia’s third (22:30) to put the hosts in control.
Mikeskova completed her hat-trick with goals at 44:51 and 49:25, while Casey Traill scored her first GB goal with 44 seconds remaining (59:16).
Coach, Michelle Smith, said: “This was another hard game against a very good side.
“Slovakia are a tough side but we often held our own against them.
“We are going to return home with plenty to be happy about in many different areas.
“We took a number of younger players to this tournament and they didn’t disappoint.
“Of course, we have some areas we need to work on, but I think we can be happy with the two games.”
