Great Britain have announced a roster change for the men’s U20 World Championship Division II Group A taking place on home ice in Dumfries next month.

Milton Keynes forward Cameron Hamill replaces Sam Lyne who has had to withdraw because of school commitments in the USA.

The six-team tournament is being held at Dumfries Ice Bowl from Monday 11th to Sunday 17th December where GB will joined by Lithuania, Netherlands and Spain, along with promoted China and relegated Korea.

Head Coach, Martin Grubb, said: “It’s always disappointing when any player has to withdraw, but Sam is at an important stage in school so we understand his situation.

“We are also lucky to have a good talent pool on our long-list and we are happy to be able to bring a player of Cameron Hamill’s quality in to our group.

“Cammy was very unlucky not to be in the original selection and after talking to him, I know he is really excited to be involved in trying to help this team achieve their goals.

“He has all the attributes we need and it’s a bonus that he has played in Dumfries quite a bit and knows the rink.”

Tickets are now on sale with a week-long pass costing only £25 and with 15 games throughout the tournament, it works out at a fantastic £1.66 per game.

Day tickets are now available for just £10 which covers three games. Children under the age of 16 go free with a paying adult with all tickets.
