ROSTER CHANGE FOR GB AS NEWMAN SUFFERS INJURY; WALLACE CALLED UP TO SQUAD

Great Britain have made a change to their roster for the Women’s World Championhip Division 1 Group B tournament in Riga.

Forward Chrissy Newman suffered a lower-limb injury in Thursday’s challenge game and has been ruled out of the tournament. The full extent of the injury will be determined on her return to the UK.

The squad and everyone associated with GB Women wish Chrissy a full and fast recovery.

Queen Bees forward Ellie Wallace has been called up from the reserve list and will arrive in Riga on Friday night. She will join the squad for their full practice on Saturday.

The tournament starts on Sunday with a game against Italy (10.30am UK time).

GB then go on to face Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia and Latvia.
