Co-coach Corey Neilson says Great Britain are continuing to improve game-by-game at the World Championship in Latvia.

GB are now three games into their Group A campaign at the Olympic Sports Centre in Riga.

After a 7-1 defeat by second seeds Russia, GB narrowly lost 2-1 to Slovakia before last night’s 3-2 overtime defeat by Denmark.

Neilson said: “We are showing great commitment and we are starting to find solutions in our own zone.

“We continue to get great goaltending whoever we put in and there are a lot of positives to take away from it.

“The players deserve all the credit. They are out there blocking shots, giving it all for their country and then when we get our chances, you see some top-end skill from guys making great decisions.

“Every game we are getting better. Of course, we were disappointed not to beat Denmark, but it’s hard not to be encouraged by how we are playing.”

GB return to action this evening against Belarus (6:15pm face-off UK time).

“They have some big players,” added Neilson. “We’re going to have to be physical competitive and throw our bodies on the line.

“Everything I have seen from this group so far shows they are willing to do and we will see how it shakes out.”

All of GB’s games are live on FreeSports in the UK. FreeSports is available free on Sky Channel 422, Virgin Media Channel 553, on Channel 64 on Freeview and BT and via the FreeSports Player.
