Juha Lindgren has been called up to the Great Britain squad for the IIHF Under-20s World Championship Division II Group A in Lithuania.

The team, who face Spain in a warm-up game this evening, are preparing for the six-team tournament which gets under way on Sunday.

GB will meet hosts Lithuania, along with Croatia, Netherlands, Romania and Spain, in the six-team group next week.

The tournament runs from 11th to 17th December and is being held at the Kaunas Ice Palace.

Head Coach, Martin Grubb, said: “We would like to thank Juha for his commitment to joining the team at such short notice.

“Juha is having a very strong year with the Bees, has been putting up numbers on a regular basis and narrowly missed out on making the original team.

“With Juha, we are getting a good skating left-wing with good playmaking abilities and an eye for the net.

“He has World Championship experience from last year in Romania, knows our expectations and we know he will come in and do a good job and fit into the group.”
