Defenceman Stevie Lee says he is “content” with the start that Great Britain have made to the World Championship (Division 1B) in Zagreb.

After Sunday’s 4-1 win over the hosts Croatia, GB were made to work for their 4-3 overtime victory over Estonia yesterday.

It means Britain sit third in the table after two games with five points, behind leaders Lithuania and second-placed Ukraine.

“I think we are content with our start,” said the Panthers defenceman.

“Yesterday wasn’t our best game but we did actually find a way to win.

“That win was very, very important for us and now we look ahead.

“Next up it is Lithuania tomorrow and we want three points from that – and hopefully we can get it done.”

Lithuania have six points from their two matches after convincing wins over Estonia and Romania – and Lee is mindful of their speed.

“They are going to be fast, big and strong,” he added. “They are going to defend well.

“We just have to take our chances when they come and be strong defensively.”

GB against Lithuania faces-off at 4:30pm local time tomorrow (3:30pm UK).
