Katie Henry became the most capped player in GB women’s hockey today, winning her 64th cap against Poland at the Division 1 Group B event in Suwon.

A special presentation took place in the dressing room this morning before warmup.

The Birmingham-born forward passes Georgina Farman who held the previous mark of 63 appearances.

Henry made her GB debut on home ice in Sheffield in 2007 and has scored 35 goals in her 63 games to date, most recently the game-winner against Kazakhstan in the opening day here in Korea.

Everyone at Ice Hockey UK and Great Britain Ice Hockey congratulates Katie on her achievement, we hope there’s many more games to come and good luck for the rest of the tournament.
