Great Britain have arrived at their hotel in Kosice this morning after a very successful week’s training camp in Michalovce.

GB warmed up for their first top-flight World Championship since 1994 with a game against Slovakia last weekend in Poprad and they will now move on from their training base to the tournament venue.

Pete Russell’s side begin their Group A campaign against Germany on Saturday before games against Canada, Denmark, USA, Finland, Slovakia and France.

GB will take to the ice this afternoon for their first training session in the 8,343-seater Steel Arena, which will come on the back of a number of media requirements today.

The players will have their traditional head shots but will also pose for the cameras for the animation for the television broadcasts.

Watch out for media content from Ice Hockey UK TV in association with McDonald’s and a Facebook live with the IIHF media team as they capture some of the rarely-seen behind-the-scenes action.
