The IIHF Global Girls’ Game takes part this weekend and the UK will hold two events at two different ice rinks.

From New Zealand to Asia, Europe and the Americas, this festival of girls’ hockey sees Team Blue and Team White battle it out in a weekend-long game across the world.

The scorelines between Team White and Team Blue across the globe are added up for a final worldwide scoreline.

Over 70 girls in the UK will take part tomorrow (Saturday), with games taking place at the Dumfries Ice Bowl and the Ozone Ice Rink in Bracknell.

Last year’s Global Girl’s Game took place at the Motorpoint Arena in Nottingham and the UK was the 37th and final game of all the matches taking place worldwide.

Team White beat Team Blue 2-1 in overtime to ensure a final worldwide scoreline of Team White 182-177 Team Blue.
