Great Britain Under-18 Women have named their squad for next month’s U18 World Championship in Turkey.

The eight-team Division II – which runs from 21st to 27th January 2022 – will be split into two groups of four in the dual-pad Istanbul Park Arena.

GB are in Group A alongside Iceland, Kazakhstan and hosts Turkey, with Group B consisting of Latvia, Mexico, the Netherlands and Spain. The top two teams in each group will progress to the knockout stages.

Head coach, James Ashton, said: “All the staff would like to thank players and parents for their support during this challenging year.

“The players have worked extremely hard to get back on the ice and have taken every opportunity given to better themselves.

“This year, myself Nicola, Jenny and Danny have been linking in with club coaches and have been able to watch streamed games, which has been great and a huge thanks to the support from clubs.

“As always, we have had to make some difficult decisions and had lost a couple of players because of injuries.

“We believe we have selected a team who can perform at the international level and will be able to compete in every game with the clear goal of looking for success.”
