Ellin Rees will captain Great Britain Under-18 Women at this weekend’s Four Nations in Poznan, with Vivian McGee and Ellie Patrick named as her assistants.
GB begin their schedule at the four-team tournament tomorrow against Spain, before facing Iceland on Saturday and hosts Poland on Sunday.
Head Coach, Angela Taylor, said: “We have a solid leadership core on the team of returning players this year and are thrilled that Ellin will step up from the ‘A’ to ‘C’.
“She was a young leader in Turkey and learned a lot working with Ellie Wallace and Cham Jackson, who had captaincy roles in their last year with the team.
“Ellie and Vivian both showed their leadership abilities on and off-the-ice and will be a great support to Ellin and the team.
“We’ve had a lot of time together in the last few months and are feeling well prepared and excited to see all the girls hard work on show in our first game against Spain tomorrow.”
