Great Britain Under-16s were beaten 4-1 by Baltu Vilki in their first game of the day at the Riga Hockey Cup in Latvia.

Mykyta Bondariev’s powerplay goal put Baltu ahead while Serhii Levchenko made it 2-0, also on the man advantage.

Rūdis Auziņš scored Baltu’s third before GB closed the cap as Brodie Kay’s pass was touched in by Kyle Carruth for his second goal of the tournament (powerplay).

Mārcis Smirnovs scored into an empty net to secure victory for Baltu.

GB’s second of three games today is against Frisk Asker which faces-off at 15:30 UK time.
