Great Britain supporters are being urged to purchase their tickets for the World Championship Division 1 Group A in Budapest as soon as possible following high demand for the tournament.

The tournament, which takes place at the Papp Laszlo Sportarena, runs from 22nd to 28th April 2018.

GB, who won promotion to ice hockey’s second tier by winning gold in Belfast last season, will face hosts Hungary, as well as Italy, Kazakhstan, Poland and Slovenia.

Ice Hockey UK general secretary, Andy French, said: “We have been informed there is huge interest in the tournament and tickets are extremely limited for games involving hosts Hungary.

“We are advising GB fans to contact Great Britain Supporters’ Club (GBSC) who have received an allocation and they will be able to sort out the purchase of tickets.”

Requests for tickets need to be made by Friday 12th January 2018. Tickets may still be available after this point but cannot be guaranteed.
