Great Britain have confirmed their leadership team for the Under-18 Women’s World Championship Division II Group A in Heerenveen.

Jess Wooding will captain the side with Ruby Newlands and Ellie Patrick named Alternate Captains.

The six-team tournament gets under way tomorrow and joining GB and hosts Netherlands are China, Latvia and Turkey, as well as promoted Kazakhstan.

Head Coach, Sean Alderson, said: “Following our successful Four Nations tournament in Spain which saw the leadership team do a fantastic job, the coaching team felt they all deserved to maintain their letters and saw no reason to change it.

“Each one of them brings different leadership qualities and we really like what they bring as a collective.

“In addition, we also have several others who bring leadership qualities to what is a great group of players and we have no doubt that they will all make valuable contributions throughout the week.”

GB start their campaign in Heerenveen against Kazakhstan tomorrow. Face-off is 16:30 (15:30 UK time).
