Great Britain and Lithuania go head-to-head for a second time this weekend as they meet in Coventry’s Skydome this afternoon (5:15pm).

Lithuania fought back from 2-0 down with three third-period goals to win 3-2 in Milton Keynes last night.

Next week, GB will travel to Budapest for the Division I Group A tournament and will face hosts Hungary, along with Italy, Kazakhstan, Poland and Slovenia, for their first return to ice hockey’s second tier since 2013.

Lithuania are hosting the Division 1 Group B tournament in Kaunas, with both IIHF tournaments getting under way on 22nd April.

GB and Lithuania are no strangers to each other and have met at the previous four World Championship tournaments, with Lithuania winning in 2014 and 2015, while GB have won in 2016 and 2017.

Lithuania’s roster includes two former NHL superstars in Dainius Zubrus and Darius Kasparaitis.
