Great Britain get their World Championship Division I Group A campaign under way this evening against Korea at the Motorpoint Arena in Nottingham (7:30pm).

It’s the third game on the opening day following Poland against Lithuania (12:30pm) and Romania versus Italy (4:30pm).

Team News
GB have no injury worries and will ice a full 22-player squad.

There are three new faces on the roster with defencemen Nathanael Halbert and Sam Ruopp, as well as forward Johnny Curran, set to to make their World Championship debuts.

Recent Meeting
GB’s most recent meeting with Korea came at the 2015 World Championship Division I Group B in Eindhoven.

After Korea scored goals 57 seconds apart either side of the first intermission, Robert Farmer closed the gap within 16 seconds.

Ben O’Connor equalised before the GB defencemen scored a breathtaking game-winning goal with a penalty shot.

A goal that has been talked about ever since and will be for many years to come as O’Connor scored through his legs with an outrageous piece of skill.
