Four players make their full international debuts this evening as Great Britain begin their Olympic Qualifying campaign at the Vindico Arena against China.

Cam Critchlow becomes the 429th player to ice for GB along with with Sean Norris (430th), Cole Shudra (431st) and Brandon Whistle (432nd).

Great Britain General Manager Andy Buxton and Ice Hockey UK General Secretary Andy French were in the dressing room to lead the cap presentation alongside all the players and staff.

“It’s always a special moment to see a player receive their debut cap,” said Buxton.

“It was lovely to present four today and for them to be welcomed into the GB family.

“Playing for your country is such a special honour and I know all four of them are so proud to be making their debuts tonight.”

Andy Buxton also paid tribute to Mike Hammond who passed away in a car accident last year.

“He will forever be part of our GB family,” said Buxton.

“We have heard from his family today who got in contact to wish the team good luck.

“Hammy loved playing for GB so much and we all miss him so much.”

GB will play tribute to Mike ahead of tonight’s game with China.
