The English Ice Hockey Association have published their Return To Play document which comes into effect from 00.01 tomorrow (Wednesday 2nd December) as government restrictions in England revert to the three-tier structure.

At time of writing, some two hours before the rules come into effect, the EIHA have not received formal clarification from DCMS and Sport England. Therefore this guidance is an interpretation of the three-tier rulings and is subject to official confirmation from government.

Some element of ice hockey activity will be permitted in all three tiers with training able to commence more or less immediately once rinks reopen.

From 2nd December, organised ice hockey can resume in all three tiers, although in Tier 3 this will only be for elite athletes, supervised activities for children, people with a disability and for formal education or training purposes.
