Cade Neilson and Josh Waller will make their Great Britain debuts this afternoon as they face Czechia in their opening game at the IIHF World Championship in Tampere, Finland.

Neilson becomes the 424th and Waller the 425th player to represent GB and both were awarded their debut caps in a special ceremony ahead of the game.

The ceremony was led by GB General Manager Andy Buxton and Ice Hockey UK General Secretary Andy French presented Neilson and Waller with their caps.

Andy French said: “It’s a very special moment to get your first Great Britain cap, so many congratulations to Cade and Josh.

“They are both exceptional young talents and it’s very exciting to see them in the line-up.”

Great Britain against Czechia faces-off at 16:20 (14:20 UK time) this afternoon.
