Ice Hockey UK (hereinafter referred to as “IHUK”) takes your privacy and consent seriously. We value transparency and process in relation to how we collect, store and use data.

What does this policy cover?

This Privacy Policy applies to all IHUK digital services such as websites, newsletters, and registration systems housed on the www.icehockeyuk.co.uk website or any other digital property created and operated by the IHUK. Why do You have to Register?

IHUK content and information is content is generally available on IHUK platforms and website without the need to register. However, certain promotions, communication initiatives, transactions or services (such as e-commerce and event registration services) will require that you register and provide certain information to enable IHUK to manage and communicate with You.

How is Your Information Used?

IHUK uses and processes Your personal information collected to:

  • To fulfill Your requests for certain products and/or services

  • For activities, promotions and/or campaigns
  • To send You communication when You have opted-in to receive certain types of information from IHUK

With regard to Third Party Service Providers, IHUK may pass your personal information to select Organisations/Sub-Contractors in order that they complete a specific task that you have requested. For example, but not limited to, delivering a prize in relation to a competition. The information provided to these ‘external’ agencies will be limited to the information they require to deliver a high-standard service. No additional personal information will be provided.

Any external agency that will have temporary access to this data will have a robust Privacy Policy in place, which is reviewed by IHUK to ensure it complies with IHUK’s data protection requirements.

IHUK has put in place, and regularly reviews, reasonable security measures, appropriate to the sensitivity of the personal information, to ensure the safety of your personal information. These measures may include technological, physical and organisation methods of security. However, the Internet is an open system and we cannot guarantee that unauthorised third parties may not be able break-through these systems.

If You communicate with the IHUK by email, You should note that the security of online email is uncertain. By sending non-encrypted sensitive or confidential email messages or information You accept the risk of such uncertainty and possible lack of confidentiality via the internet.

IHUK does not knowingly collect personal information from Children – if the IHUK becomes aware that a child has provided us with personal
information without parental consent, we will take steps to delete this information from our systems.

How do I request my information be deleted?

Should You wish to request that your personal information is no longer held by IHUK, you can email your request to DPO@icehockeyuk.co.uk. Alternatively, if it is in relation to a specific promotion, membership or communication alert, You can use the ‘unsubscribe’ button based in the footer of the relevant email message.
