Great Britain Under-20s underwent the first identification camp of the season on Wednesday and Thursday of this week.
The two-day camp saw four on-ice sessions over the two days at Ice Sheffield with over 40 players in attendance.
There were also off-ice activities including gym and classroom sessions, where the coaches outlined the high expectations for the coming season.
Head Coach, Martin Grubb, said: “The past few days went really well and it was great to be able to start the selection process with these identification camps.
“It has allowed us to make sure we are able to see as many players as possible from both home and abroad.
“The tempo was high and the players did well both on and off the ice – and we would like to think they learnt a little and enjoyed the experience.
“We look forward to the next camp and seeing the progression of the players over the coming months.
“We can already see there will be some difficult decisions to make as the process continues but, as coaches, that’s what we want and we are excited for the next one.”
The next camp takes place in Nottingham next month, which will also see the under-18s and under-16s take to the ice over two days.
