Great Britain Under-20s have announced two changes to their roster for the World Championship (Division 1B) in Budapest, which gets under way on Sunday.

Swindon Wildcats forward Jordan Kelsall and Bracknell Bees forward Josh Smith replace Matthew Headland and Kyle Smith in the squad.

It’s a first call-up to a GB U20s World Championship squad for Kelsall and Josh Smith.

The GB youngsters, who won a bronze medal in France last year, are taking part in the six-team tournament from 11th to 17th December 2016.

GB will face hosts Hungary, as well as Slovenia, Poland, Italy and Ukraine.

Coach, Martin Grubb, said: “It is particularly hard on Kyle Smith as he had only recently been set to replace the injured Toms Rutkis in the squad.

“As ever, it is disappointing to lose players ahead of a tournament, but we have depth at under-20 level and I know the players coming into the squad will do well.

“The squad has a nice balance across all areas and I have every faith in their ability.”
