Forward Angela Taylor believes the dramatic end to last night’s game against Mexico will give Great Britain Women a massive boost going into today’s game with Poland.

GB scored two goals in 21 seconds inside the last minute and a half to beat Mexico 3-2 in their opening game in the Olympic qualifying tournament in Astana.

“I think the victory will have given everyone a massive boost,” said Taylor who scored the winner after Saffron Allen’s equaliser.

“We just need to get back out there, put our skates on and play.

“But we must not get too carried away and make sure we stay focused.

“It’s another big game for us and we really have something to play for.”

GB and Poland met in the World Championship (Division 2A) earlier this year in Bled.

Chrissy Newman and Louise Adams scored in a 2-1 victory for GB, although it was Poland who went onto claim promotion after a three-way tie at the top of the group.

The game faces-off at 3pm (9am UK time) and it’s live on the BBC Sport website and BBC Radio 5 Live Sports Extra, which is also available on digital radio.
