EIHA head of training & development, Joy Johnston, said: “The IIHF Officiating Committee set a strategic goal to increase the number of female game officials around the world.

“This event is open to females of any age who are interested in the sport.

“We like to see any female who loves ice hockey and wants to learn more about what it takes to become a referee.

“It is fantastic that the Swedish officials are coming over from Sweden to talk at the event and I am sure everyone will take a lot from everyone’s input.”

This will be an interactive workshop where you will have a chance to discuss and learn about…
– Qualities of a game official
– Basic linesman and referee duties
– Face-off procedures
– Icing and offside basics
