From 8 to 24 May 2020, the top-16 countries in ice hockey will be battling it out in Zurich and Lausanne, Switzerland, for the chance to be crowned world champion. The release phase for day tickets begins at 9:00am (CET) on Tuesday, 10 September 2019.

GB are in Group A in Lausanne for their second successive year in the top flight, alongside Belarus, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Slovakia and Sweden.

History will be written next spring when the IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship returns to Switzerland after eleven years! Zurich and Lausanne will be welcoming 16 teams, including hockey motherland Canada, 2018 Olympic champion Russia, and defending world champion Finland. With the strapline “Let’s make history”, they will be treating Switzerland to a festival of ice hockey in a class of its own.

If you want to be right up close to the action and catch every single highlight, you simply cannot afford to miss the release phase for the much-sought-after day tickets. At 9:00am (CET) on 10 September 2019, these will go on sale on Ticketcorner at the following link: World Championship day tickets

Day tickets for the preliminary round will be available from CHF 49 in Lausanne and from CHF 69 in Zurich. The tickets are valid for a whole two- or three-game day. You can also buy “Follow Your Team” tickets (apart from for the Swiss national team).

The release phase for single game tickets begins in February/March 2020.
