Head Coach Sean Easton has named his Great Britain squad for the 2023 IIHF Under-18 Men’s World Championship Division II Group A in Belgrade.

The six-team tournament takes place from Sunday 9th to Saturday 15th April with matches being held in the Pionir Ice Hall.

GB will come up against Croatia, Lithuania, Romania, hosts Serbia and Spain, with the group winners being promoted to Division I.

Easton said: “The coaching staff had to make some very difficult decisions for this year’s roster, but we feel we have selected a well-balanced squad.

“Over the past few months it has been great to see such competitive training camps and I know a lot of players will be disappointed to miss out.

“There’s an exciting buzz around the team right now and that’s brilliant to see. Everyone is looking forward to getting to Belgrade in April.

“We now have a few months to work with this team and get us exactly when we want to be for the World Championship.

“I’m also excited that we have been able to add Milos Melicherik to the coaching staff. He will be a huge addition for us and myself and Andy (Brown) are looking forward to working with him.”

GB start their campaign on Sunday 9th April against Romania, before taking-on Croatia the following day.

After the first rest day of the tournament, GB play hosts Serbia on Wednesday 12th April.

Spain are GB’s opponents on Thursday 13th April and after the second rest day, GB meet Lithuania in their final game of the tournament on Saturday 15th April.
