GB U16s 3-1 Spain
Great Britain Under-16s began their international tournament in Madrid with a 3-1 victory over Spain.

It was a solid team performance against a well organised Spanish team.

Great Britain got better as the game progressed and finished strong, with very good goaltending from Lewis Davies (Cardiff).

Caly Robertson (Kirkcaldy) scored twice for GB and there was one goal for Lewis Houston (Solway).

GB U16s 13-2 Mannheim
Great Britain U16s continued their winning start with a convincing victory over Mannheim.

It took the team a while to get going but they focused on the task and got the result to build into the next game. 

Finlay Ulrick (Sheffield) was named man of the the match. 

GB U16s 3-1 Rouen
Great Britain put in an exellent performance to beat the Rouen team from France 3-1 in Madrid.

GB’s goals were scored by Mason Biddulph (Chelmsford), Jordan Buesa (Toronto) and Kieran Brown (Iowa Wild). 

National talent development officer, Mark Beggs, said: “If there was ever a reason to show the importance of the GB U16 program, this game had what we needed to see.

“This gives a great benchmark going forward.”
