Ice Hockey UK and the GB Programme Board have made three new off-ice appointments as Aimee Baldwin, Laura-Jo Bowler and Emma Sanders join the Great Britain Women’s set-up.

Sanders will take up a Sports Rehabilitator role with Great Britain Women alongside Robyn Crebbin, while Bowler and Baldwin take-up the Sports Therapist role with GB Under-18 Women and GB Under-16 Women respectively.

Baldwin is head of Medical and Sports Therapy with Bradford Bulldogs and works with players from Leeds Chiefs and Leeds Warriors, while she has also worked with various rugby league sides including Leeds Rhinos. She owns her own company, AMB Sports Therapy.

Bowler, who also runs her own business called LJB Soft Tissue Therapy, is sports therapist with Elite League side Nottingham Panthers and has also undertaken roles in football with Newport County, as well in boxing and motorsport.

Sanders, who represented Great Britain Women at under-18 level, is also a IIHF on-ice official and spent last season at DEL2 side Lausitzer Füchse. She runs a therapy business called Therapy Plus and has also worked with Nottingham Rugby.

David Hand, chairman of the Great Britain Programme Board, said: “These off-ice roles are some of the most important in ice hockey.

“We have a great team of physios and sports therapists and these new appointments add to that.

“We had a lot of applicants for the three roles and the three successful candidates stood out in particular.

“I’d like to welcome Aimee, Laura-Jo and Emma to the Great Britain programme and we look forward to them working across the women’s programme.”

Ice Hockey UK would like to thank Charley Keen who has moved on from her Graduate Sports Therapist position with GB Women.

Charley has been a valuable member of the GB programme for a number of years and we wish her the best of luck in the future.
