Great Britain will have three debutants for this afternoon’s game against Croatia as they play their first game at the World Championship Division 1 Group B in Belfast’s SSE Arena.

Sam Duggan, Brendan Brooks and Liam Stewart were all presented with their caps by Ice Hockey UK general secretary Andy French in a special ceremony in the dressing room.

Brooks became the 400th-capped player in GB history, with Duggan 401 and Stewart 402.

GB general manager, Andy Buxton, said: “This is a very special moment for all three players and I am sure one they will never forget.

“There was a short presentation in the room and Andy French was on hand to make the presentation.

“The mood in the room is fantastic, they are so focused and are itching to get the first game under way.”
