The countdown is on for the inaugural Ice Hockey UK Under-20 National Finals, which takes place at Dumfries Ice Bowl this weekend.

The top two teams from Scotland and England will do battle in the semi-finals on Saturday 7th May, with the Grand Final the following day.

An U11 Scotland East v West clash serves as an aperitif on Sunday before the main event.

Qualification for the IHUK National Finals has come from the SIHA-UK and EIHA U20 domestic leagues.

Fife Falcons and Solway Sharks are the SIHA-UK representatives, while Sheffield Scimitars and Billingham Stars qualify from the EIHA leagues.

The timetable for the weekend is as follows…

Saturday 7th May
Fife Falcons v Billingham Stars – 2:30pm
Sheffield Scimitars v Solway Sharks – 7pm

Sunday 8th May
U11 Scotland East v West – 12noon
Grand Final – 3pm.

Tickets for this event are on sale via the TicketWeb site priced at £15 for all weekend or £10 per day.

Under-16s are free when accompanied by a full paying adult.
