Defenceman Josh Tetlow says he’d love the chance to play in his home rink when Great Britain face Denmark in May.

GB will face the Danes at the National Ice Centre – the home venue of his Elite League club Nottingham Panthers – on Sunday 8th May (4pm).

It’s part of an international double-header with the two sides also going head-to-head on Saturday 7th May at the Skydome in Coventry (7pm).

“If selected, it would be a fantastic experience to wear the GB shirt in Nottingham,” said Tetlow.

“Anytime you put on a GB jersey it’s a massive honour, but it would be really special to wear it in my home rink.

“Denmark are a top-class hockey nation and it will be good preparation ahead of the World Championship.

“We had a right battle with them last year in Riga and I am sure they will be two great games for the fans to watch.”

Tetlow’s GB debut came at last year’s World Championship in Latvia and he played in all seven games as GB once again impressed the ice hockey world.

“It was a fantastic experience last year and I would love to do it again,” continued Tetlow.

“We had so many highs, not least the regulation-time win over Belarus, and it would be great to be part of it again.”
