The ice hockey teams for the 2020 Winter Youth Olympic Games in Switzerland are now known.

Female and male junior players will play in mixed nation teams –  three-on-three – at the upcoming Games in Lausanne next month.

The athletes qualified through the National Skills Challenge that served as qualification event in the 40 participating countries.

Four women – Mirren Foy, Amy Robery, Abby Rowbotham and Jessie Taylor – achieved the individual qualifying results to secure their Team GB places, as did Carter Hamill, Evan Nauth and Mackenzie Stewart in the men’s section.

Each team will consist of 13 athletes – 11 skaters and two goaltenders – who will in each case join from 13 different National Olympic Committees.

With the participants now confirmed, the team rosters have now been created and coaches from the IIHF assigned.
