Great Britain Under-18s have completed a two-day camp at Dumfries Ice Bowl as preparations continue for next year’s World Championship.

The final roster will be announced shortly for the World Championship Division I Group B in Hungary.

The six-team IIHF tournament runs from 14th to 20th April 2019 and matches will be played in the Ifjabb Ocskay Gábor Ice Hall.

The GB youngsters were promoted from Division II Group A last season and will now face Austria, Italy, Japan, hosts Hungary and Slovenia in Székesfehérvár.

GB U18s coach, Martin Grubb, said: “It was an excellent camp and a very important one for us.

“The coaching staff were very impressed by the work ethic of the youngsters and we now have a tough decision to make the final squad selection.

“We have some fantastic youngsters in the GB programme at the moment and we are all excited about the future.

“Playing in Division I will be a tough challenge but it is one everyone is excited about.”
