The DEL2 season is already under way but the top-flight DEL is hoping to begin on 18th December, with a decision expected next week.
The UK’s Elite League announced in September that their 2020-21 season would be suspended until further notice.
Meanwhile, some teams from the second-tier NIHL are set to play a series of games behind closed doors this month.
