There was a special presentation for Great Britain General Manager Andy Buxton in the dressing room ahead of today’s game in the World Championship with Sweden.

He has now overseen 100 games in the role of General Manager since first taking up the role in 2007.

Ice Hockey UK General Secretary, Andy French, said: “Andy is a remarkable man and what he does for this team is remarkable.

“What he has done over 100 games be it World Championship, Olympic Qualifiers or challenge games, no-one deserves something more than him to mark that achievement.

“He sets the example for the team that others follow and he is a massive reason for our recent success.”

This afternoon’s Group A game with the Sweden also sees Matthew Myers become the fourth player to reach 100 GB caps.
