Great Britain Women forwards Katie Henry and Angela Taylor became the fifth and sixth players in history to reach the 50-cap milestone during this afternoon’s victory over Australia Women in the World Championship Division II Group A.

The duo join Georgina Farman, Lauren Halliwell, Alice Lamb and Emily Turner in reaching the half-century milestone.

GB beat Australia 5-1 with Taylor netting twice to move onto 37 goals for GB.

Head coach, Cheryl Smith, said: “It’s unique and it is a great honour for them to have.

“It was a very special day for those two players today.”

Ice Hockey UK would like to thank Mowbray Sports for supplying the caps.
