Great Britain team physiotherapist Mairi Macphail was awarded a very special 50th cap ahead of tonight’s game with Slovakia in the World Championship in Kosice.

Mairi, who first joined the team at the World Championship in 2012 in Slovenia, was presented with her 50th cap by team doctor Matt Robbins and head coach Pete Russell.

She said: “It was a massive surprise to be awarded the cap and a really lovely honour.

“I love working for this team. I am so proud to be part of the GB set-up.

“I would like to thank Andy Buxton and the team for the presentation. It is a moment I will never forget.”
