The schedule has been confirmed for January’s Under-18 Women’s World Championship Division I Group B in Dumfries.
The six-team IIHF event runs from 6th to 12th January and will take place at Dumfries Ice Bowl.
It’s one of two tournaments being held this international season by Ice Hockey UK in Dumfries, with the Women’s World Championship Division II Group A taking place in April.
GB Under-18 Women get their tournament under way on Sunday 6th January against Poland U18 Women, before facing France U18 Women the following day.
After a rest day, GB then go head-to-head with Norway U18 Women on Wednesday 9th January.
A second rest day is followed by GB facing China on Friday 11th January and the tournament is wrapped up with Great Britain against Netherlands 24 hours later.
IHUK general secretary, Andy French, said: “It is fantastic we are holding two tournaments this year and I am sure the local public will go behind GB Women.
“Our thanks, as ever, go to Dumfries Council and the Dumfries Ice Bowl for their support in securing this event.
“There are some bright young prospects in the GB Women’s programme and it will be great to showcase them on home ice at international level.”
