Great Britain meet Finland this evening as they play their fifth match at the World Championship in Kosice at 8:15pm (7:15pm UK time).

GB go into the game fresh from their stunning performance against the USA on Wednesday where they scored three times – through Mike Hammond, Brett Perlini and Ben Davies – but ultimately were beaten 6-3 by the world’s fourth seeds.

The games don’t get any easier for Great Britain as they face a Finnish side ranked fifth in the world.

Finland meet GB on the back of last night’s 3-1 victory over Denmark – a game they had trailed by a goal after they went behind early in the second period.

GB expect to be at full strength, although head coach Pete Russell has said he will change his line-up from the one that ran USA close two days ago.

Previous meetings
The two sides only have two previous meetings and both of them have come in the World Championship.

It’s the first meeting since 1962 in Colorado Springs where GB won 7-5, while they were 6-3 winners in the 1951 World Championship in Paris.
