Great Britain forward Louise Adams was presented with a special cap to commemorate her 50th senior appearance in today’s tournament finale in Jaca versus Latvia.

Adams made her debut in April 2012 when GB hosted the tournament in Hull, playing her first game against Denmark.

Since then Adams has scored some important goals for GB, most recently the game-winner in Tuesday’s win over Spain – breaking a 1-1 tie with just over three minutes to play.

IHUK General Secretary Andy French made the presentation in the dressing room earlier and said: “This is a part of my job that enjoy – celebrating successful players. Congratulations to Louise on her 50th cap.

“It’s a great achievement and I look forward to presenting more caps to this squad in the future.”

The squad are now preparing for their gold medal showdown with Latvia at Pabellón de Hielo which faces off at 4pm local/3pm UK.
