Great Britain Under-20s head coach Slava Koulikov says he sees “lots of potential” in the squad following the first camp of the season.

The U20s camp took place at Ice Sheffield yesterday, with the Under-18s being held today and Under-16s on Friday.

It is a first chance for GB’s new coaches to look at the young prospects for the upcoming season.

Koulikov was joined by assistants Martin Grubb and Aaron Nell, while Ice Hockey UK’s national development head coach Tony Hand was in attendance.

“It was nice to see all the players who attended our first under-20 camp and it went really well,” said Koulikov.

“We made it clear what we wanted to see on the day. The players took it all in and delivered it on the ice.

“All the coaches and Tony Hand have seen a lot of potential – now it’s time to review and start preparing for the next camp.

“This is just a beginning of a long and detailed process – and I am already looking forward to the next camp.”
