Chamonix Jackson has been named captain of Great Britain Under-18 Women for this weekend’s Four Nations tournament in Reykjavik.

GB will face Spain, Poland and hosts Iceland in the four-team competition at the Skautahollin Laugardal ice rink.

Elouise Porter and Abi McCourt will be alternate captains for today’s opening game against Spain.

Head coach, James Ashton, said: “It feels great to actually be here and the girls are really looking forward to getting on the ice and performing.

“We are really pleased to have Cham as our captain. She has demonstrated great leadership throughout the camps and her experience from the seniors will be invaluable to all players.

“Eloise and Abi will be alternates for the first game and are looking forward to the extra responsibilities.

“We will be rotating players into the alternate roles each game to maximise experience for the girls. We want to give opportunities to lots of players to understand the importance of leadership.”

This afternoon’s game with Spain faces-off at 17:30 and can be watched on a webcast here.
