IIHF president René Fasel has given an interview to sports website sportacentrs.com following some speculation that Latvia might be set to pull out of being co-host for next year’s World Championship.

The tournament is set to take place in Riga, as well as Minsk in Belarus, from 21st May to 6th June 2021.

Great Britain are in Group A in Minsk, alongside Belarus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Russia, Slovakia, Sweden and Switzerland.

Matches will take place at the 15,086-seater Minsk Arena, which will also host two quarter-final games, both semi-finals and the the medal games.
